In 1967, the 'Summer of Love' and 'Flower Power' trends influenced fashion around the world, with Fender celebrating this cultural movement by releasing the 'Blue Flower' and 'Paisley Telecaster®' guitars that same year. These instruments featured patterned sheets covering the entire body, which then had a clear gloss finish layered on top, creating an eye-catching statement piece for players looking to stand out in the late 1960s. These guitars hold a special place in Fender history, and we are excited to reissue them in 2025 as limited-edition models from Fender Japan.
The Made in Japan Limited Telecaster® Paisley features a paisley-patterned alder body with a gloss finish and has a classic playing feel thanks to a 7.25-inch-radius and 60s oval "C"-shaped maple neck with 21 vintage-style frets. These specs, when combined with the paisley pattern, complete a one-of-a-kind look that's faithful to the era.
